Our
philosophy
We believe in simple and traditional winemaking, avoiding additives and relying on the quality of our grapevines to produce authentic wines of great delicacy. Each vintage is unique and it is this typicity that we wish to see reflected in our wines every year.
The wines of Jas des Papes are the most faithful expression of their terroir and a reflection of the identity of the estate, while being modern and refined.
Our
cuvées
Our grapes are harvested by hand, and meticulously sorted before being vinified separately. The Grenaches, Cinsaults and Mourvèdres ferment and age in our wooden tank to maintain the freshness and crispness of the fruit, while we vinify our Syrahs more traditionally in French oak barrels to give roundness to the tannins.
Our white wine, made from Clairettes and Grenaches Blancs is aged in oak barrels (demi-muid).
